Arabic baby names are names from Arab speaking world also known as Muslim baby names. That is because Muslim is predominant in the Arab speaking world. Arabic baby names are not only popular among Muslims, but many African, Americans also choose to give their child a name in Arabic.
In fact, traditionally the mother and father choose a name together, although if they cannot agree, the father has the honor of naming the child. And Muslim baby names reference specific religious meanings, whereas Arabic names (though, like English names, often with spiritual connotations) do not have to refer to Islam.
